Grange Os — End User License Agreement

1. License Grant

Xenith Development Group ("we") grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Grange OS ("the Software") on the number of computers permitted by your license key, for your own farm or business. During the free trial you may use the Software for evaluation for the trial period shown in the app.

2. Restrictions

You may not: copy, resell, rent or sublicense the Software; share your license key with people outside your organisation; reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Software except as permitted by law; or remove copyright or license notices.

3. Your Data

Your farm records are stored on your computer. You own your data. We do not collect it. You are responsible for keeping backups (the Software includes backup tools). You can export your data at any time, including after a trial or license ends.

4. Third-Party Components

The Software includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licenses. In particular, the Qt for Python (PySide6) libraries are licensed under the GNU LGPL v3 and may be replaced by you with a modified version.

5. Online Services

Some features (weather forecasts, maps, address search, license activation, update checks) contact third-party or our own servers. See PRIVACY.txt. These services may change or become unavailable.

6. No Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Records, calculations, reminders, withdrawal dates and weather information are aids only; always check against your own records, product labels and professional advice.

7. Limitation Of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR LIVESTOCK, ARISING FROM USE OF THE SOFTWARE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE LICENSE.

8. Termination

This license ends if you breach it. On termination you must stop using the Software; you keep your data.

9. Refunds

If you are not happy with the Software, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Your license key stops working once the refund is made. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.

10. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota, United States, except where the consumer law of your country gives you rights that cannot be waived.
